Diy gift box with lid. Use your knife again to cut out the 4 corners, leaving a net of your box lid. Make your own gift box in 5 minutes with one of my free gift box templates. The lid will hold the sides of your box together, just tied it all together with a ribbon.
Just enough so that the lid will slip over the bottom box without bending the side walls. Print one of these templates onto the blank side. I only recommend products i personally use and love, or think.
For example, if your side grooves were cut 1/8 from the top and 1/8 deep, you'll want to cut the top edges of your lid 1/8 down from the sides.
